In addition to the above specifications, it should be noted that this blade is made of folded steel, which has been folded 12 times to create 4096 layers. This process increases the flexibility and hardness of the blade, and results in a distinct texture. Bo-hi (blood groove) is added to each side of the blade to lighten and balance it for optimal performance. If you do not want the Bo-Hi, we can customize it for you. Two seppas spacers secure the Tsuba, and the Habaki is made of brass. The saya (sheath) is made of hard wood and finished with a high gloss lacquer. The Sage-O is tied around the Kurikata (knob) of the saya, and the Koiguchi (scabbard mouth) and Kojiri (scabbard tip) have been hardened.
